Dar Ghax-Xemx (Sunny Farmhouse)

Situated in the quaint alleys of
the oldest part of Victoria,
dating back to the 17th Century,
Dar Ghax-Xemx has just been
renovated by GFR to a very
high standard. The renovation has been carried out in
keeping with the original and
traditional layout of a typical
Gozitan farmhouse.
This property is located in an
extremely quiet and peaceful
dead-end alley too narrow for
even the smallest of cars to get
through. Yet, it is just a couple
of minutes walk away from the
centre of Victoria with its open
air market and little shops. The
main bus station is only a 5 minute walk away making it an ideal place to stay if you did not want the expense and hassle of hiring a car. From the roof terrace there is a lovely view over the town towards the Citadel and Gelmus Hill - this is where the spectacular fireworks are let off from during the feasts of St. George (3rd week of July) and Santa Maria (on the 15th August).
